The challenge
A major global retailer needed to consolidate candidate and employee data from dozens of internal systems across multiple countries and regions into a single platform. The data was fragmented across legacy HR systems, recruitment tools, and regional databases — each with different schemas, formats, and compliance requirements.
Three separate departments were manually reconciling data, and the lack of a unified view was costing the organisation millions in duplicate licences, redundant processes, and missed insights.
Our approach
Our founding principal led the end-to-end data unification programme, working directly with senior stakeholders to design integration patterns across tens of source systems. The work included building automated ETL pipelines to extract, normalise, and load data from each system into a centralised platform, and implementing multi-region GDPR compliance across US, EU, Russian, and Chinese data residency requirements.
A standardised onboarding playbook was created that could be reused for subsequent enterprise clients. The solution needed to support 10,000+ concurrent users with near real-time data freshness.
The outcome
The unified platform consolidated three departments of data entry clerks, eliminating redundant manual reconciliation entirely. The programme delivered approximately $2.5M in annual savings and became the foundation for the client's global talent analytics capability.
The standardised onboarding playbook was subsequently used to bring four additional Fortune 500 clients onto the platform.
